Espanica is a draft alternative economy, created by a small organization born in Madrid in the early 80 century, the Association of Rubén Darío Franco-Nicaraguan friendship. Since 1997, Espanica has imported more than twenty containers of high quality coffee produced in the mountains of Matagalpa and Esteli by farmer cooperatives. The roasted coffee is brought by boat, is roasted and packaged by a small company in Cantabria, and once brought to our warehouse in Madrid is distributed to our network of consumer groups. Since 2001, we have been importing cashew also natural, from women's cooperatives in the departments of Leon and Chinandega, is sold in bags of 90 grs. And have been imported more than 3 tons of product. All this at prices agreed to allow producers to sustain their economies and play their capital.
